Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) on Tuesday said it is expanding its delivery program with Uber Eats to six more U.S. cities after a successful initial test in Miami.
The Seattle coffee chain said the rollout begins Tuesday in San Francisco and will expand to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C., in the coming weeks.
The service includes about 95% of Starbucks' core menu items and carries an initial $2.49 booking fee, the company said.
Starbucks last year said it planned to offer the service in nearly a quarter of its more than 8,000 U.S. company-operated stores, and the company on Tuesday said those plans are on track.
Starbucks said its Miami test, which it launched in September 2018, saw strong demand, including repeat business throughout the day and positive feedback from customers.
Starbucks said it also plans to expand its delivery service to more international markets this year, with a limited pilot program with Uber Eats in London.
