Rentrak Signs Contract with Lin TV Corp. For Its StationView Essentials Local Market Measurement Service

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 6  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ:RENT), a leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the entertainment and advertising industries, today announced a deal with Lin TV Corp. for WWHO  the CW Affiliate in the Columbus, Ohio market.  Lin TV (NYSE: TVL), one of the largest television broadcasting companies serving 9% of all U.S. television households in the country, chose Rentrak's StationView Essentials(TM) service in order to provide enhanced measurement and engagement metrics for advertisers and agencies.

Since launching the StationView Essentials service in mid-December, Rentrak has also signed agreements for local television station measurement and analytics with Sinclair Broadcast Group and Sunflower Broadcasting. Columbus, Ohio is the first U.S. market to have two station groups subscribe to the service that produces information products from the largest commercially available database of digital set-top-devices. The advertising and agency communities in Columbus and across the country will benefit from the metrics that Rentrak's granular set-top-box service provides for all television viewing.
