On November 15, 2017, Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. (the “ Company ”) issued a press release (the “ Release ”) announcing that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved MEPSEVII ^TM (vestronidase alfa) for the treatment of children and adults with Mucopolysaccharidosis VII (MPS VII, Sly syndrome).

A copy of the Release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
