Paradyne and Sunrise Telecom Announce Partnership Agreement
Sunrise to Add ReachDSL Technology to Field Test Sets
SAN JOSE, Calif., June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Paradyne (NASDAQ:PDYN), a
leading provider of broadband voice, data, and video network access solutions,
and Sunrise Telecom Incorporated (NASDAQ:SRTI), a leading provider of service
verification equipment for telecommunications and cable TV networks, announced
today a marketing cooperation agreement to provide testing solutions for
Paradyne's ReachDSL(TM) broadband access solution.
The partnership will provide customers with the industry's first field test
solution for deploying ReachDSL. This allows customers to pre-qualify, install
and maintain copper loops for ReachDSL service. Using the industry-standard
SunSet MTT test set, network providers will improve service availability and
reliability while reducing truck rolls.
"With this development, field technicians will now have the tools to
immediately see ReachDSL performance when typical ADSL fails due to noise on
the line, distance limitations, or other loop problems," said William Cobb,
Vice President of Product Management at Paradyne. "Sunrise Telecom is trusted
by our service provider customers worldwide for access test and measurement.
Adding ReachDSL technology to the Sunrise Telecom SunSet MTT is a natural fit."
"Adding ReachDSL technology to our SunSet MTT family enriches our DSL product
portfolio and demonstrates our continued commitment and leadership in the DSL
test arena," said Cyrille Morelle, Director of Product Marketing for Access
Technologies at Sunrise Telecom.
