During May 2018, domestic traffic increased in nine airports, with the largest increases in:

  • Monterrey (+9.7%; +70,000 passengers), with 49% of total domestic traffic, increased traffic principally because of higher volumes on the Mexico City, Cancún, Guadalajara, Tijuana, Puebla, and Mexicali routes.

  • Ciudad Juárez (+19.7%; +19,205) had increased traffic on its Guadalajara, Cancún, Culiacán, and Monterrey routes.

International traffic grew in ten airports in May, with the largest increase in Monterrey (+3.4%; +3,468 passengers), as a result of increases in the number of passengers on the Seoul, Korea and Detroit routes.

Of total passenger traffic, 99.0% was commercial, and 1.0% was general aviation.
