NEW YORK, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MPWR) will replace Micrus Endovascular Corp. (Nasdaq: MEND) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Friday, September 17.  Micrus Endovascular is being acquired by S&P 100 & 500 constituent Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) in a deal expected to close soon, pending final approvals.

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, and markets analog and mixed-signal semiconductors. Headquartered in San Jose, CA, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Semiconductors Sub-Industry index.
