Spanish cable operator Ono SA, reportedly a takeover target, has filed a preliminary prospectus for an initial public offering with Spain's market regulator, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the situation.
Previous media reports have said the company was preparing an IPO, but has also received acquisition interest from Vodafone Group PLC (VOD) and Liberty Global PLC (LBTYA, LBTYB).
The FT report said the company is still considering a sale.
The potential IPO could value Ono at up to 7 billion euros ($9.56 billion), the FT reported.
