InterDigital Hosts 2016 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC), a mobile technology research and development company, held its annual meeting of shareholders today on the Internet through an interactive webcast.

At the meeting, InterDigital shareholders approved the election of Jeffrey K. Belk, S. Douglas Hutcheson, John A. Kritzmacher, William J. Merritt, Kai O. Öistämö, Jean F. Rankin, Robert S. Roath and Philip P. Trahanas as members of the Board of Directors for a one-year term expiring at the 2017 annual meeting of shareholders.

Shareholders also passed an advisory resolution to approve the company's executive compensation as reported in the company's 2016 proxy statement, and ratified the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm for the year ending December 31, 2016.

Unfortunately, a weather system in the area of InterDigital’s corporate head office resulted in a power failure during the question and answer period, after the official business of the meeting had been concluded. Although some questions were taken, remaining questions were unable to be addressed. The company plans to address the remaining questions posed by posting a Q&A on its website, www.interdigital.com, in the coming days.
