The Jersey Shore's Ronnie Magro Partners With Electus and Hatch Labs to Launch BroDown

NEW YORK, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MTV's Jersey Shore cast member, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, announced the release of his BroDown app, a fun and Ronnie-approved way to exercise and motivate friends to stay in shape.

This new app allows users to challenge their friends and others around the world to see who can do the most continuous push-ups.  The more users win, the higher up on the leader board they climb and the stronger they become.  Eventually users can climb up to "Meatball", "GTL Bro", "Gorilla", and "Team Ronnie" status, all of which are popular Jersey Shore lines.

Through the app users can record themselves doing as many consecutive push-ups as they can and keep track of their progress.  Users can also share this app through Facebook and Twitter to challenge their friends.

"Fitness is important to me and I wanted to be a part of something that really motivates people," said Ronnie. "When I partnered with the tech team behind BroDown, I knew it was the right fit. I'm challenging everyone to download the app, get stronger, get your friends and family involved and show the world how many push-ups you can actually do."

Not only can users compete against friends and "Ronnie's Crew", but they can access Ronnie's Shore Store to boost their swag.  This app is available on iTunes today.

"It's a great way to show everyone that you're a real Gorilla and check out the competitions."

The BroDown app can be purchased on iTunes and is also available at www.brodown.com for $0.99.
