The Hackett Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HCKT), a global strategic advisory and operations improvement consulting firm, today announced that its Board of Directors has approved the initiation of an annual cash dividend program in the amount of $0.10 per share, which is intended to be paid annually.
The first dividend will be paid on December 28, 2012, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 20, 2012.
"Our strong balance sheet and cash flow allows us to return capital to our shareholders with this dividend, while also preserving financial and operational flexibility to meet our strategic objectives," stated Ted A. The declaration and payment of any future dividends under this program will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors, subject to the Company's financial results, cash requirements, and other factors deemed relevant by the Board of Directors. Investors are cautioned that this new annual dividend program is not a guarantee that a dividend will be declared or paid in any particular period in the future.
