Eagle Insurance Services Hires Kenneth J. Van Valkenburgh as Vice President

Eagle Insurance Services, LLC ("Eagle Insurance Services"), EagleBank's wholly-owned subsidiary, today announced that Kenneth J. Van Valkenburgh has joined Eagle Insurance Services. He will be responsible for facilitating the marketing of insurance products and services to EagleBank's business, personal and professional customers. Van Valkenburgh will report to Laurence E. Bensignor, Senior Vice President of Eagle Bancorp, Inc.

"Van Valkenburgh is an experienced licensed insurance agent. He joins us in the continuation of his 20-plus year career in the financial services industry," said Larry Bensignor. "He is a great choice for this role. He will provide the experience and skills we need to better focus on our customers' insurance needs. Van Valkenburgh will manage our insurance referral program and will spearhead our efforts to organize seminars on insurance topics for our customers. Our goal is to give our customers access to a comprehensive array of quality insurance products and services." Van Valkenburgh has over 20 years of professional experience in the financial industry in the Washington, D.C. area. For the past five years, he was with a local agency of MassMutual, overseeing several areas of the agency. Prior to that, Van Valkenburgh was a brokerage manager at Belman Klein Associates from 2003 to 2004. From 2001 until 2003, he worked for Capital Synergies, Inc., where he managed the sale of individual life, long term care and annuity products for 24 core carriers in a three-state territory. From 1998 to 2001, he was a director of life sales at Clements & Company; he started their life insurance division. Van Valkenburgh was also with Metropolitan Life Insurance for nine years in various job roles, such as agent, recruiter and associate branch manager.
