CA Technologies Appoints Ava M. Hahn Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Brings extensive leadership and legal expertise in technology and venture capital firms

CA Technologies (NASDAQ:CA) today announced the appointment of Ava M. Hahn as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She joins the company from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, a venture capital firm, where she served as general counsel.

Hahn brings more than 15 years of experience leading legal strategy for public and private companies in the technology and venture capital sectors. Prior to her role at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, she was general counsel and partner at Felicis Ventures. She also previously served as chief legal officer for publicly-listed Aruba Networks, Inc., ShoreTel, Inc. and Genesis Microchip, Inc.

As general counsel and chief legal officer, Hahn will be responsible for providing legal guidance to the company’s senior management and board of directors. She will oversee all of CA’s legal operations, including corporate governance and compliance, contracts, securities, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and litigation.

Hahn succeeds Michael Bisignano, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Active in a number of community and professional organizations, Hahn received her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
