AT&T Announces New Global Contract With Aeroflex Incorporated

AT&T Voice and Network Services will Create Custom Solution for the High-End Technology Company's 30 Locations 


PLAINVIEW, N.Y., May 10  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a new contract with Aeroflex Incorporated (NASDAQ:ARXX), a global multifaceted technology company that develops a diverse range of microelectronic test and measurement products and that markets these products to aerospace, defense, cellular and broadband communications customers. Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will serve as the primary networking-services provider for Aeroflex, delivering Virtual Private Network (VPN), Remote Access, VOIP, hosting and security services.

With locations in the U.S. and Europe, Aeroflex Incorporated selected AT&T to create a customized globally managed VPN incorporating ANIRA, a remote access VPN to core data services. Aeroflex Incorporated will further use AT&T Hosting and Firewall Security services, as well as AT&T's Secure E-Mail Gateway. Implementing a common communications architecture across the company, combined with a companywide e-mail application, enables further collaboration among locations and leverages existing applications.
