Adobe Systems Inc. reported first-quarter earnings after the closing bell Thursday. Here's what you need to know:
EARNINGS: The cloud-based software company reported adjusted earnings of $1.55 a share, beating estimates by more than a dime. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had forecast earnings of $1.44 a share.
REVENUE: Sales also topped views, growing 24% to $2.08 billion, compared with $2.05 billion forecast by analysts.
STOCK MOVE: Shares rose 2.9% to $225.31 in extended trading. The stock has surged 25% so far this year, while the S&P 500 has risen 2.8%.
