The US currency tumbled further against the South African rand and touched a new multi-month low of 7.2350 in early New York morning trading on Wednesday. Thereafter, the pair traded sideways and currently trading near 7.2465. The dollar-rand pair was worth 7.3264 at yesterday's close. The dollar has been in a downward channel against its South African counterpart since October 02, 2009.
