Extending its European session's uptrend, the US dollar advanced further against the South African rand during New York morning deals on Thursday. At 10:05 am ET, the greenback climbed to a new multi-year high of 8.3408 versus the rand, compared to yesterday's close of 8.2301. Currently, the pair is trading near 8.2807.
