The South African Rand slipped against the U.S. dollar in the New York session on Thursday, as emerging assets were hammered on growing prospectus for a Fed rate hike in June.
The South African Rand declined to 15.98 against the greenback, its lowest since March 16. At yesterday's close, the pair was worth 15.85. On the downside, 17.00 is likely seen as the next support level for the rand.
