The South African rand extended its early European session's rally versus its US counterpart in early New York trading on Monday. The rand rose to an 11-day high of 7.4625 against the greenback by 8:50 am ET and the pair moved on holding pattern thereafter. If the rand ticks up further, resistance is likely to be seen around the 7.36 level. As of 9:50 am, the dollar-rand pair was quoted at 7.4739.
