The Japanese yen weakened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Monday.
The yen fell to a 1-week low of 111.57 against the U.S. dollar and a 4-day low of 110.44 against the Swiss franc, from last week's closing quotes of 111.05 and 109.98, respectively.
Against the euro and the pound, the yen dropped to 118.00 and 138.12, from Friday's closing quotes of 117.62 and 137.38, respectively.
If the yen extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 113.00 against the greenback, 112.00 against the franc, 119.00 against the euro and 140.00 against the pound.
