The Bank of England's mortgage approvals data for July and CIPS/Markit PMI report for August have been released at 4:30 am ET Tuesday. Following these reports, the pound showed mixed performance against its major rivals. While the pound changed little against the euro, it declined further against the rest of major rivals.
The pound was trading at 1.5335 against the greenback, 183.66 against the yen, 1.4715 against the franc and 0.7357 against the euro around 4:33 am ET.
