The pound continued its upward trading against the other major currencies in European deals on Wednesday.
The pound strengthened to more than a 2-week high of 0.6952 against the euro, nearly 7-month high of 1.5308 against the franc and a 6-day high of 194.45 against the yen, compared to early lows of 0.6998, 1.5189 and 193.19, respectively.
The pound climbed to a 2-day high of 1.5636 against the greenback, from an early 9-day low of 1.5525.
The next possible resistance for the pound may be found around 1.57 against the greenback, 196.00 against the yen, 1.55 against the franc and 0.68 against the euro.
