The British pound weakened against the other major currencies in the early European session on Tuesday.
The pound fell to 2-week lows of 1.3057 against the U.S. dollar, 135.97 against the yen and 1.2867 against the Swiss franc, from early highs of 1.3144, 138.95 and 1.2956, respectively.
Against the euro, the pound dropped to a 1-week low of 0.8426 from an early high of 0.8364.
If the pound extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 1.27 against the greenback, 128.00 against the yen, 1.24 against the franc and 0.86 against the euro.
