Against the euro and the U.S. dollar, the pound dropped to 2-day lows of 0.7049 and 1.5059 from early highs of 0.7019 and 1.5109, respectively.
The pound edged down to 1.5420 against the Swiss franc, from an early high of 1.5478.
If the pound extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 182.00 against the yen, 0.71 against the euro, 1.49 against the greenback and 1.52 against the franc.
