At 3:15 am ET Wednesday, Switzerland's statistical office is slated to release consumer prices for July. Prices are forecast to fall 1 percent year-on-year in July, the same rate of decrease as seen in June.
Ahead of the data, the franc showed mixed trading against its major rivals. While the franc declined against the euro and the pound, it recovered from early lows against the yen and the greenback.
The franc was worth 0.9775 against the greenback, 127.22 against the yen, 1.5227 against the pound and 1.0635 against the euro as of 3:10 am ET.
