The British pound weakened against the other major currencies ahead of European session on Monday.
The pound fell to 0.7329 against the euro and 1.4252 against the Swiss franc, from last week's closing quotes of 0.7312 and 1.4299, respectively.
Against the U.S. dollar and against the yen, the pound edged down to 1.4821 and 176.71 from Friday's closing quotes of 1.4869 and 177.19, respectively.
If the pound extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 0.75 against the euro, 1.38 against the franc, 1.52 against the greenback and 175.35 against the yen.
