Nordic stocks declined Tuesday, with the OMX Nordic 40 Index declining 0.3%.

Autostore Holdings Ltd. posted the largest decline during the session, dropping 6.3%, followed by Swedbank AB Series A shares, which declined 4.0%. Shares of Corem Property Group AB Series A declined 4.0%.

Koebenhavns Lufthavne A/S was the biggest leader, rising 5.2%, and engcon AB Cl B increased 4.8%. Arion Banki hf. SDR rounded out the top three leaders on Tuesday, with shares gaining 4.2%.

In Denmark, the OMX Copenhagen 20 Index increased 0.2%, while the OMX Helsinki 25 Index, which tracks Finland's most-traded stocks, dropped 0.4%.

Elsewhere in Europe, indexes fell, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.2% and the FTSE 100 Index falling 0.5% from the previous close.

Stock indexes in Asia were mixed, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index down 0.8% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.3%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were down 0.3%, and gold futures were down 1.0%. Bitcoin climbed 1.1% to $43,244.

On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index rose 0.8% to 97.90.

Against the euro, the U.S. dollar was up 0.8%, the Icelandic krona was up 0.3%, the Danish krone was flat, the Swedish krona was down 0.3%, and the Norwegian krone was down 0.5%.
