Nordic stocks rose Thursday, with the OMX Nordic 40 Index rising 0.3%.

Autostore Holdings Ltd. was the biggest leader during the session, gaining 7.4%, and NEL ASA gained 5.0%. Filo Corp. rounded out the top three leaders on Thursday, with shares increasing 4.8%.

Elekta AB Series B posted the largest decline, declining 7.5%, followed by Thule Group AB shares, which fell 6.3%. Shares of Frontline PLC declined 5.3%.

In Denmark, the OMX Copenhagen 20 Index gained 0.9%, and the OMX Helsinki 25 Index, which tracks Finland's most-traded stocks, rose 0.3%.

Elsewhere in Europe, indexes rose, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index gaining 0.5% and the FTSE 100 Index rising 0.4% from the previous close.

Stock indexes in Asia were up, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index up 0.5% and China's Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.3%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were down 2.4%, and gold futures were down 0.4%. Bitcoin was unchanged at $37,588.

On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index increased 0.4% to 97.92.

Against the euro, the U.S. dollar was up 0.7%, the Danish krone was flat, the Icelandic krona was down 0.1%, the Swedish krona was down 0.3%, and the Norwegian krone was down 0.5%.
