Nordic stocks dropped Tuesday, with the OMX Nordic 40 Index declining 1.3%.

Avance Gas Holding Ltd. posted the largest decline during the session, tumbling 11.0%, followed by NEL ASA shares, which declined 8.8%. Shares of Volvo Car AB Series B fell 6.0%.

Sinch AB was the biggest leader, adding 6.6%, and OX2 AB increased 4.1%. SeaDrill Ltd. rounded out the top three leaders on Tuesday, with shares gaining 4.1%.

Stock indexes in Asia were mixed, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index down 0.1% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.2%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were up 2.5%, and gold futures were up 1.5%. Bitcoin was up 1.9% to $37,765.

On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index declined 0.5% to 97.37.

Against the euro, the Swedish krona was up 0.6%, the Danish krone was flat, the Icelandic krona was down 0.1%, the Norwegian krone was down 0.2%, and the U.S. dollar was down 0.5%.
