Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA (SGO.FR) said Wednesday that it has acquired a 50% stake in a flat-glass production line of the Chinese group JJG.
The French company said the production line has a total annual capacity of 160,000 tons and is located in the Shandong province in north-east China.
Saint-Gobain said the investment is in line with its strategy of expanding its presence in emerging countries and increases its flat-glass production capacity for the automotive market.
No financial details have been disclosed.
