Directors' shareholding

The Company today announces that Mrs Lorna Moran, founder and Chief Executive of
NRG, yesterday sold 1 million ordinary shares of 5p each at a price of 108p per
share in the Company.

The disposal was made to increase the Company's stock market liquidity and
facilitate the acquisition of meaningful holdings by long-term institutional
investors.  This is Mrs Moran's first sale of shares since NRG's stock market
flotation in November 1997 and she remains fully committed to leading the
continued growth and development of the business.

As a result of this disposal Mrs Moran now has an interest in 9,242,828 ordinary
shares, representing 54.06% of the company's issued share capital.
