               MANO CLOSES PRIVATE PLACEMENT RAISING GB#2,450,000

The Board of Mano River Resources Inc. ("Mano") announces that it has closed a
Private Placement raising gross proceeds of GB#2,450,000, as previously
announced on 10 December 2003.

The Placing has been arranged in the UK and Europe of 49,000,000 common shares
at GB#0.05 per share by Williams de Broe and Seymour Pierce Ltd to raise
GB#2,450,000 before issue costs and broker commissions of 4%. Conditional
regulatory approval has been received from the TSX Venture Exchange and
application has been made for the new shares to be admitted to trading on AIM
and dealings in the new shares are expected to commence on 31 December 2003.

                              Exercise of Warrants

The Company has received notice of the conversion of warrants over in aggregate
2,380,000 fully paid common shares in the Company at GB#0.03 per share, raising
gross proceeds of #71,400. The Company has made application for the 2,380,000
new common shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to
commence on 5 January 2003.
