Please be advised that Kiln plc was notified on Thursday 30th October 2002 that
following the exercise of options to purchase 19,500 existing ordinary shares of
1p each from the Kiln Employee Trust under the terms of the Kiln Trustees
Limited 1998 Unapproved Share Option Scheme by an employee of Kiln that the
shareholding in the Company held by the Kiln Employee Trust has been reduced to
18,931,369 ordinary shares representing 9.28% of the current issued share
capital

All the executive directors of Kiln are beneficiaries of the Kiln Employee
Trust, and therefore may become entitled (when the trust makes either a
distribution of either income or assets) to benefit from the shares in Kiln held
by the Kiln Employee Trust
