               A.M Best Reaffirms Rating of Lloyd's Syndicate 510


A.M. Best has reaffirmed the 'A' (Excellent) financial strength rating of
Lloyd's Syndicate 510, the flagship syndicate of R. J. Kiln & Co Limited ("Kiln
"). The rating is in recognition of the syndicate's excellent current and
prospective operating performance and business position.  The independent rating
agency also pointed to Kiln's recognised position as market leader in each of
the five main business groups in which it operates and a well diversified book
that has been developed through long-standing relationships with clients,
brokers and insurers.



A.M. Best believes that enhancement of the syndicate's management and its
philosophy of creating small new underwriting teams to ensure a specialist focus
is maintained, will facilitate the handling of higher premium volumes.
