Energy company Energias de Portugal, or EDP (EDP.LB), plans a euro-denominated, benchmark sized five-year bond, said one of the banks on the deal Friday.
Initial price thoughts on the deal are in the 6.25% area.
Ratings are Ba1 from Moody's Investors Service Inc., BB+ from Standard & Poor's and BBB- from Fitch Ratings.
Barclays, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, ING, Mizuho, Societe Generale, Banco Espirito Santo and Millennium BCP are lead managers on the deal.
