French bank Societe Generale SA (GLE.FR) Thursday said it's in talks to sell its ECS Group unit, which specializes in the management of information systems, to Belgium's Econocom Group SA (ECONB.BT) in a deal valued at EUR210 million.
Econocom would finance EUR30 million through a share issue underwritten by Societe Generale, which would own 9% of the Belgian company's share capital.
The finalization of the deal would require the approval of competition authorities, Societe Generale said.
