and Lanie Pilnock as Fashion Director 


NEW YORK, May 19  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Neil Cole, CEO of Candie's, Inc.
("Candie's" or "the Company"), announced today that David Conn has joined
Candie's, Inc. as Executive Vice President.  Lanie Pilnock has also joined the
Company as Fashion Director.

Conn brings with him an expertise and understanding of branding and business
development that will enable him to exploit the Company's brands to their
fullest potential. Conn rejoins the Company from Columbia House where he held
the title of Vice President of Marketing for four years. Prior to that
position, Conn was the Vice President of Marketing at Candie's from 1997-2000.

David Conn stated, "I am very excited about the Company's transition to its new
business model, which will capitalize on its core capabilities, managing brands
and creating innovative marketing that resonates with our target market and
drives sales of branded products."

Pilnock joins Candie's from Marshall Fields, where she held the position of
Trend Manager, Women's Ready-to-Wear, Junior Division and Dress Division.
Pilnock will direct trends and styles to the Company's numerous licensees to
insure a cohesive image throughout all categories.
