Badgley Mischka to Dress First Daughters For Presidential

NEW YORK, Jan. 11  /PRNewswire/ -- Prestigious design house Badgley Mischka
announced today that it will dress First Daughters, Miss Jenna Bush and Miss
Barbara Bush for the Presidential Inaugural activities beginning on January
19th.

For Miss Jenna Bush, designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka created an
emerald silk crepe gown with metallic leather details and jeweled insets. Miss
Barbara Bush will wear a pale aquamarine silk chiffon gown with jeweled straps
and a ruffle-seamed skirt.

In the process of designing the made-to-order couture gowns, the First
Daughters perused current and archive collections with Badgley and Mischka,
choosing silhouettes and details that appealed to them.

"Jenna considered several colors, but always leaned toward green. The emerald
looked especially gorgeous with her hair color," Badgley explained. "Barbara
loved the softness and femininity of chiffon, and chose this very icy, wintry
aquamarine."

"The Bush girls were wonderful to work with," added Mischka. "They are
spontaneous and have so much energy. And they look beautiful and sophisticated
in the gowns. It is a pleasure and an honor to dress them."
