BIOTRACE INTERNATIONAL PLC
Appointment of New Non-Executive Director
Biotrace International Plc, a leading manufacturer and provider of industrial
microbiology products and related services, is pleased to announce that
following a Board meeting yesterday Dr. Atholl Turrell was appointed to the
Board of Biotrace as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
Dr. Turrell (aged 49) spent his early career as an academic prior to joining
Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co in 1981. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in
1984 and left in 1985 to pursue a career in investment banking initially with
Charterhouse Bank and then with Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Schroder
Salomon Smith Barney. Dr. Turrell is Vice-Chairman of Arbuthnot Securities
Limited.
Dr. Turrell will chair the Audit Committee and will become a member of the
Remuneration Committee.
There are no details regarding Dr. Turrell that require disclosure under section
6. F. 2 (b) to (g) referred to in paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules.
