The Dutch government on Friday set out new export control measures for advanced semiconductor-manufacturing equipment on national security grounds, raising concerns that more countries could follow suit and affect exports to China, a key market for semiconductor companies.
Below is a list of the approximate exposure levels that some European semiconductor companies have to China:
--Germany's Infineon Technologies reported 14.22 billion euros ($15.45 billion) in revenue for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, with mainland China and Hong Kong representing roughly 28.6% of the total.
--Aixtron, also German, posted EUR463.2 million in sales for 2022. China represented about 32.6% of the total.
--Dutch semiconductor-equipment maker ASML Holding made EUR21.17 billion in sales last year, with China contributing 13.8%.
--STMicroelectronics doesn't break down sales for individual countries, but sales in the Asia Pacific accounted for 63.2% of 2022 revenue.
