       Result of EGM and Application for Admission of New Ordinary Shares
                                        
Urbium PLC (the "Company") announces that at the extraordinary general meeting
of the Company held at 10.30 am today ("EGM"), both resolutions were passed.

The Company also announces that it has applied for admission to trading on the
Alternative Investment Market ("Admission") of 10,350,593 ordinary shares of 50
pence each, which comprise all of the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company arising following the consolidation of the Company's ordinary share
capital as a result of the EGM. Admission is expected to occur on Wednesday 2
July 2003.
