- Notification of interest in shares of the Company pursuant to Section 324 of 
the United Kingdom Companies Act, 1985 ("UKCA")

We wish to announce that the Company has on 18 November 2003 been notified under 
Section 324 of the UKCA of the following:



That Augustus Ralph Marshall, a Director of the Company has exercised an option
to subscribe for 100,000 new shares of Tanjong of 7.5 pence each ("New Shares")
on 14 November 2003 at an exercise price of RM8.05 per New Share pursuant to the
Tanjong Public Limited Company Employees' Share Option Scheme No. 2. He now has
an interest in 520,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in Tanjong representing 0.132%
of the issued share capital of Tanjong.
