Shamrock Intersects 15.1 Meters of 444 g/t Silver on the Fireweed Project

18/04/2012 4:31pm

Marketwired Canada

Shamrock Enterprises Inc. (CNSX:SRS) ("Shamrock" or the "Company") is pleased to
announce results from its recent 1500 meter, 11 diamond drill hole program at
the Fireweed Property located approximately 80 km north of Smithers, B.C. in the
Omineca Mining District. Seven drill holes have intersected significant
mineralization in a portion of the West Zone.

Highlights of the drilling program include:

15.6 meters of 374.7 g/t silver in drill hole FW 11-3

15.1 meters of 444.4 g/t silver in drill hole FW 11-4

15.3 meters of 374 g/t silver in drill hole FW 11-5

20.3 meters of 202.8 g/t silver, 0.2 g/t gold, 1.7% lead and 3.6% zinc in drill
hole FW 11-6

The 2011 drill program, completed in December 2011, consisted of eleven NQ size
diamond drill holes for a total of 1561.7 m. Two sections trending NW-SE, fifty
metres apart, were selected to test an area indicated by historical drilling in
1988 and 1989, to contain mineralization in the "West Zone". Several other
mineral zones on the Fireweed property await additional testing and evaluation.

Previous drilling on the Fireweed Property by Shamrock confirmed the presence of
volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization in the west zone "vent" area
located approximately 100 meters east of the two sections reported here. The
previous drilling demonstrated anomalous amounts of silver, lead and zinc
extending up to 1000 meters east of the current west zone target, as well as
confirming and extending known areas of volcanogenic massive sulphides to depth
in the "vent" area of the "West Zone".

The area of 2011 drill program is between 45m and 130m west of the western edge
of the area drilled by the Company's 2010 drill program. The 2011 drilling was
designed to test the area of mineralization indicated by historical drilling in
1988 and 1989 to contain significant lead, zinc and silver mineralization. Only
a few of the old drill hole collars can now be positively identified, new
drilling of the area is required so as to begin a modern, regulatory compliant
resource calculation.

The 2011 drilling was positioned so as to largely avoid duplication of previous
drill holes while maximizing structural and mineralogical information from the
area of previously indicated mineralization. A plan depicting 2011 drill holes
will be posted on the Company's website at www.shamrockresources.com.

The 2011 program is in accordance with objectives recommended after the 2010
drill program.

Few of the old drill collars from the 1988/89 drill program can be identified
positively, although sites can be generally located. The lack of positive
identification of old collar locations requires that newer, NI43-101 compliant
drilling be undertaken to:

A. Determine mineral intersection locations that can be used in any future
    economic or resource calculation.
B. Have uniform, modern, compliant testing and analytic procedures.
C. Enable positively identifiable collar locations.

All intersections reported are drilled intersections and are not true widths.

Surface drilling was conducted by Blackhawk Drilling of Smithers, B.C. and was
supervised by the William A. Howell P.Geo., the qualified person for the
Company. All samples were prepared by Acme Labs in Smithers and analyzed in the
Acme facility in Vancouver, B.C., which is a SO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation
facility. Samples were subjected to ACME Group 7TD analysis, where the split
core is crushed and split to 150 mesh, then a 1.00 gram sample is subjected to a
hot 4 acid digestion then analysed by ICP - ES. Au and Ag are determined by
group 603 fire assay from a 1 assay-tonne sample.

The 2011 Fireweed drill hole locations are listed in the following table:

About Fireweed: The Fireweed Property is a polymetallic (Ag, Zn, Pb, Cu, Au)
discovery of massive sulphide and sulphide replacement type mineralization. The
region has seen active mineral exploration since the turn of the century with
numerous producers. Examples are the Granisle Mine (10 km to the southeast),
Bell Copper Mine (5 km to the east) and the undeveloped Morrison Deposit (17 km
to the northeast). One of the most significant was the Equity Silver Mine at
Goosly Lake with very similar mineralization to Fireweed. Pursuant to a Letter
of Understanding with Pachamama Resources Ltd. dated February 17, 2010 the
Company has an exclusive option to acquire an initial 50% interest, with the
right to earn up to a 70% interest in the Fireweed Property.

About Shamrock: Shamrock Enterprises Inc. is a Canadian-based junior mining
exploration company focused on the procurement, exploration and development of
silver and other precious metal properties in North America. The Company's
Shares are listed and posted for trading on the Canadian National Stock Exchange
("CNSX") under the symbol "SRS".
