WORCESTER, Mass., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Do you need to get an appraisal for
precious family heirlooms or find a dealer or collector who wants to buy your
old radio? The new 7th edition of Maloney's Antiques & Collectible Resource
Directory, authored by David Maloney, certified appraiser and chief appraisal
officer for Sales OnLine Direct (BULLETIN BOARD: PAID) , has the most current
listings for thousands of appraisers, dealers, experts, auctioneers, repair
specialists and other resources in thousands of categories of antiques and
collectibles. The 7th edition, published by Krause Publications, will be
available in major bookstores and online in mid-December 2003.
Maloney's Directory, often considered the 'bible' of the antiques and
collectibles industry, is the unrivaled source for information to aid in the
authentication and valuation of antiques and collectibles, or to help with the
successful resolution of a loss or damage claim. Covering more than 3,200
categories of antiques, collectibles and other types of personal property, this
massive collection of more than 20,000 dealers, collectors, clubs and
specialized periodicals offers an unparalleled source of expertise.
Since its debut, Maloney's Antiques & Collectibles Resource Directory has been
hailed as the "...best one-volume research tool in print." (Gannett News
Service) and as a Best Reference Book (Library Journal.) In print for 14 years,
this unique and comprehensive all-in-one information source has proven itself as
the only complete resource for hard-to-find information about antiques,
collectibles, art and other categories of personal property. More than 250,000
copies of Maloney's Directory are in circulation, with many available in the
resource sections of libraries.
"The Directory is an invaluable resource for professionals in the antiques and
collectibles industries, as well as for estate liquidators, moving companies,
attorneys, claims adjusters and many others," said David Maloney. "The new
edition features more categories, cross references, email addresses and web
sites than ever before to make it easier and faster for users to find the
resources they are seeking. We're continually updating and refining the
publication to ensure it remains the most comprehensive and user-friendly
antiques and collectibles resource directory available."
"Often when people realize that their collectible items are valuable and/or of
interest to others, they are at a loss as to how to set a price or find a buyer
(should they choose to sell) or to locate information to learn more about their
collectible," Maloney remarked. "The goal of Maloney's Antiques & Collectibles
Resource Directory is to place as much information as possible at the user's
fingertips to allow him or her to make decisions based on knowledge and fact.
Veteran dealers and collectors are well aware that knowledge and information are
the keys to success in the world of antiques and collectibles."
Harry Rinker, noted author, columnist, lecturer on antiques and collectibles,
and host of Home & Garden Television's (HGTV) Collector Inspector, a weekly show
devoted to seeking out antiques and collectibles in private homes, said, "David
Maloney has created a directory with the answers. His Resource Directory is a
reference source that anyone associated with the field simply has to own."
