                          Sale of Onshore Oil Interest


Edinburgh Oil & Gas plc announces that it has sold its 10 per cent interest in
UK onshore licence PL211 (Horndean oilfield) to a subsidiary of Northern
Petroleum plc for a cash consideration of #200,000.

Mr Alf Bissett, Managing Director of Edinburgh Oil & Gas plc said:

"The sale is in line with our policy of divestment of our non-core UK onshore
interests to focus on our UK offshore interests and key onshore properties."
