                          SALE OF HEAD OFFICE FREEHOLD

                        AND SHORTENING OF COMPANY NAME.



Faupel Trading Group plc, the designer and importer of quality home furnishings,
industrial safety products and branded apparel is pleased to announce the sale
of its freehold premises in Thames Ditton, Surrey. The building houses some of
the administration functions of the group, which have been substantially
relocated to the company's Birmingham and Manchester offices over the past year.



The sale values Faupel House at #1.25Million and at this price there is no gain
or loss impact on the company's profit and loss account. The buyer, a well known
local property group, has paid a 10% non-refundable deposit and completion will
be between January 1st 2004 and May 31st 2004, at the buyers request with six
weeks notice, with the balance on completion. The funds received will be used to
reduce group indebtedness.



At the recent AGM shareholders voted to change the company's name to Faupel plc.
The new shorter name is designed to reflect the on-going refocusing of the group
onto the product and brand management side of the business.
