Eateries, Inc. Promotes Kristen Mertens to Director of Marketing



EDMOND, Okla., April 6  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vincent F. Orza, Jr., Chairman
& CEO of Eateries, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: EATS) has announced that Kristen
Mertens has been promoted to Director of Marketing for Eateries, Inc.

Originally from Oklahoma City, OK, Mertens returned home in 2002 after spending
four years in Dallas as the Senior Account Executive for Latitude, the
promotional division of The Richards Group.  Kristen holds a BA in Business
Administration with an Emphasis in Marketing from Westminster College in Fulton,
Missouri.  She joined Eateries, Inc. as Senior Marketing Manager in 2002.  In
her new position, Kristen will manage the company's media buying strategy,
develop and coordinate corporate-wide sales building promotions, and direct
sales incentive contests.  She will also manage the company's Secret Shopper,
Guest Loyalty, and print advertising programs.
