"Looking at 2008, oil prices obviously today are significantly higher than they were a year ago," Gheit said. "Even if oil prices were to correct ... I still believe that it is more likely that oil prices in 2008 will be at least as high as the average of 2007, and most likely even higher. Having said that, higher oil prices will increase these companies' earnings. All in all, on balance, most of these companies will have probably record earnings in 2008."
