Bird River Resources Inc. (CNSX:BDR) is pleased to report the test production results for the latest horizontal oil well announced by Atikwa Resources (TSX VENTURE:ATK), the operator of the well, located at 11-26-1-28W near the town Pierson in south western Manitoba. The fracing of the well has been completed and Atikwa reports that the initial production over the first ten days for the well averaged 150 barrels per day. They also stated that the well shows strong inflow characteristics and are confident that production can be additionally optimized. The well was drilled into the Spearfish formation and is producing light sweet crude oil. BDR has a 5% gross and 4% net participation in the well. BDR holds interests in several leases in the proximity of this producing well. About Bird River Resources Inc. BDR is a Winnipeg, Manitoba based resource exploration company.
