The project is based on realizing the Value Internet of Things. This is the concept where technology connected to the Internet will integrate into physical products that have not yet been connected in that way. One of the main technologies utilized are RFID tags. Radio-frequency identification tags use electromagnetic fields to create unique identifiers for each sticker. They are similar to QR codes, but using radio frequency.

This technology is being used to develop “smart stores.” Stores where every product has this technology could be established with no need for cashiers or even a sales counter at all.

Waltonchain is even working on a “smart oceans” project with the government of Fuji to improve ocean quality by tracking more data in shipping ports.

New Partnership – Uber of Logistics

Today Waltonchain announced a partnership with HUODULL – a translation of “Cargo Pocket,” a company founded in 2015 that is a kind of Uber of logistics or shipping. It is a logistics aggregation platform that utilizes AI, Big Data and Blockchain to deliver logistics efficiency. 

They are actively shipping products through many cities in China. Their current developments include usage of visual technology combined with intelligent algorithmic logic operation to automatically identify goods, measure cargo volume, weight, photo archive and upload information to the system.

Waltonchain is further showing their position as the industry leader in supply-chain blockchain technology by maintaining the basics. All the partnerships and potential developments would mean nothing if the tech behind their blockchain was weak.
