                                  SAVILLS plc

                    Close Period Share Re-purchase Programme

Savills plc (the "Company") announces that effective immediately the Company has
commenced an irrevocable, non-discretionary programme to re-purchase its own
shares during the close period, which commences at the close of business on 31
December 2003, in accordance with Chapter 15 of the Listing Rules and Savills
plc's general authority to repurchase shares. Up to 500,000 shares may be
purchased at a price of up to 325p until 1 March 2004 inclusive. Savills plc
will be announcing preliminary results for the year ending 31 December 2003 on 2
March 2004.
